It’s an amazing blessing to be married to your best friend. Like many, I’m guilty of taking the time we spend together for granted. I’m thankful for the extra time we’ve been given during quarantine. It hasn’t been easy, and I’ve definitely felt a lot of different emotions during this time (sadness, anxiousness, and gratefulness to name a few).

But being married has taught me so many things. It’s shown me how selfish and impatient I can be. It’s taught me the importance of communication and how worth the effort it is. It’s shown me how beautiful love can be if you wait for the right person. Andrew demonstrates grace, humility, love, and acceptance toward me every day, without hesitation or question. He jumps at the opportunity to know my heart and understand me better, and always encourages me to pursue my dreams. He cries with me, laughs with me, and helps ease my nerves. He’s my lover, my partner for life, and my best friend.

Andrew is what I would call a true romantic. He takes little moments throughout the day to express and cherish the relationship we have. He takes moments like laying in a field together and taking pictures and somehow makes it feel like there’s not a camera or anything else, and it’s just my best friend and I watching the sunset together.

I’m so incredibly thankful for God’s grace in giving me Andrew and for our marriage.

This post is dedicated to my husband, Andrew.

I love you A.

Love,

E.
